Content Structure

The content in the CoreSpring Platform is organized as follows:

  1. Organization - Each organization represents an institution (e.g., edtech company, publisher, school or district).
  2. Collection - A Collection is a group of assessment items or questions. For example, 'ELA' or 'Math' could be collections arranged by subject; 'TEIs' may contain advanced item types across many grade levels and subjects. Collections belong to an Organization, and may be shared with other organizations. For example, a Publisher may want to make the Publisher's collections available for use by a State Department of Education for use by educators across that state. CoreSpring shares its collections of Open Education Resources at no charge with all of its customers.
  3. Item - An item is an assessment item or question that may be presented to a student to gather a response.
